Nicole Ari Parker has worked in television, film as well as on stage. Her most well-known role was for her character Teri (the fierce attorney) Joseph. After her marriage she became Nikki Kodjoe. From the time she was a child, Nikki Kodjoe was a natural actor. At the Maryland contest for students in high school, she was awarded the prize for the Best Actress. In the years following her involvement in acting and in "The Washington Ballet Company" and "The Washington Ballet Company", she earned an acting degree at the New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love brought her a first-class role. Later came films such as "Boogie Nights Spark" and Blue Streak. Contractor, who was born in Mumbai and lived in Nigeria for seven years was awash with trips and experiences in the world of culture at very young. The boarding school she attended was in London between the ages of seven and nine years old, then her family relocated towards Toronto, Canada, where she lived the bulk of her childhood and young adulthood. Contractor trained and eventually became a classical dancer in Toronto. She studied at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, an arts school which focuses on theater and dance. When she was 16 and after more than 10 years of dancing Contractor decided to take up acting as a profession. She received a full-scholarship grant to pursue a degree at the University of Toronto after graduating. The university offered her master's degree in theatre and double majored in social and psychology. Contractor, who had spent a year in university, went on to audition during an open call for Pericles which was held at the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival, [Ontario Canadain Canada] and was selected for the part. The show she played in 92 performances received acclaim from Canadian theater critics. The actress accepted an invitation to enroll in Stratford's conservatory. This is a course that allows only four males and eight women can take the 20-week crash program in classical theatre. Contractor's place in the following production was secured, and she was chosen in the play as Hermia.
